Beliefs

The Trinity

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This doctrine of the Trinity underscores the unity and diversity within God’s nature. God the Father is the Creator and Sustainer of all things, whose sovereign will governs the universe. Jesus Christ, the Son, is fully God and fully man, who through His incarnation, death, and resurrection, provides the only way for humanity’s salvation. The Holy Spirit is the Comforter and Guide, who indwells believers, empowering them for godly living and service. The Trinity is foundational to our understanding of God’s character and His relational nature, illustrating perfect love and unity.

Authority of the scripture

We affirm the Bible as the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. According to 2 Timothy 3:16-17, all Scripture is “God-breathed” and essential for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. This belief holds that the Bible, composed of the Old and New Testaments, is the ultimate guide for faith and practice. It reveals God’s will and purpose, providing wisdom and instruction for living a life that honors Him. As such, we commit to regular study and application of the Scriptures, trusting in its truths to guide our beliefs, behaviors, and decisions.

Salvation by Grace through Faith

We believe that salvation is a gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 states, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” This doctrine emphasizes that salvation is not earned by human efforts or good deeds, but is a free gift from God to those who believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior. Through His sacrificial death and resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for our sins, offering us forgiveness and eternal life. This belief compels us to respond in gratitude and live a life transformed by His grace.

The Church as the Body of Christ

We believe in the church as the body of Christ, composed of all believers who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. According to 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body.” This belief highlights the unity and diversity within the church, where each member plays a vital role. The church is called to worship God, edify believers, and reach out to the lost with the Gospel. It serves as a community of faith, support, and love, reflecting Christ’s presence in the world.
